Washable & Comfortable Costumes For Kids With Little Adventures + Giveaway

I adore seeing kids, especially babies, in costumes because they just look so adorable in them. Ever since becoming a mom, I’ve always been looking forward to Halloween because that means I can dress up my kids in cute costumes. What I didn’t like about costumes is that they’re so uncomfortable and impractical; not to mention that they’re expensive and they get ruined when you wash them. Which is why I’ve always been an advocate of practical “costumes” that you can wear over and over, like the ones the Inside Out characters have been wearing. But that was until I found out about Little Adventures.

Today, I’ve partnered with Little Adventures to bring you adorable, practical, comfortable, affordable, and washable costumes that your kids can wear ALL THE TIME! Make sure to read until the end because there’s a gift for you!

About Little Adventures

In 2002, when two moms discovered the lack of clothing-quality dress-ups and princess costumes available for their children, they decided to take action. Jenny and Heather began their own little adventure by sewing and selling their very own dress-ups at local craft fairs. They made them soft and machine washable! They engineered them for everyday, all-day adventure! During their first year in business, they sewed over 2,000 dresses in Jenny’s basement…and with that, the Little Adventures brand was born. You can read more about them here.

About The Costumes

It was so much fun browsing through their site with all the adorable options they have. I love that they also have options for little boys and adults.

We were provided with Snow White Dress, Snow White Bow, Fullness Slip, Galactic Warrior Cloak, and Galactic Laser Sword in green.

The finely detailed and newly redesigned Snow White Dress is a fairy tale classic. The luxurious navy blue crushed velvet bodice and red sleeves are adorned with intricate gold trim. The skirt is cheery yellow china silk wrapped at the waist with elegant red hip drapes to complete this timeless design. You can read more about it here.

Snow White isn’t complete without her signature Red Bow! This quality headband coordinates perfectly with their Snow White dress ups. It’s wrapped in red satin and has a bow on top for dress up or daily wear. You can read more about it here.

A great addition to any of their dresses, is the Fullness Slip. And with the new design featuring the polypropylene fabric, it is a great-priced addition. It features soft waist fabric for added comfort. You can read more about it here.

Their Galactic Warrior Cloak will help transform your child into the otherworldly warrior of their dreams! This newly designed cloak is made of knit fabric with a fully lined hood. The adjustable foam knit belt has a velcro closure and adorned with an out of this world metal decorative buckle. You can read more about it here.

The Galactic Laser Sword of a more civilized age are made of sturdy, durable foam that allows hours of safe play. Your little warrior can pretend to cut through blast doors or enemies alike. The bright white stripe down the middle creates a lighting effect that your warrior can pretend to predict and deflect incoming blasts and bolts. You can read more about it here.

Wearing Their Costumes

To be honest, when I saw the pictures of the costumes online, considering the well-thought out details of each costume, I thought to myself that there is no way those are going to be comfortable. But I had felt how comfortable they are when they got delivered, not to mention that they look as great in person as they are on the site. All the details are perfectly done except for the Snow White Bow. The bow on the headband is slightly on the center, but it’s not really a big deal since it can still be worn. My daughter got pretty excited as soon as she saw the dress. She told me she’s going to look like a princess like the ones she sees on TV.

My daughter is pretty vocal whenever she’s uncomfortable with something. There are times though that she won’t say it but I’ll know because of her gestures. Surprisingly, both kids, especially my daughter, didn’t complain one bit, not even an uncomfortable gesture, while wearing their costumes. They both love their costumes and has been running and twirling around while in them, in the house and outside too.

One night while wearing her costume, I told my daughter she had to remove her Snow White dress before dinner so it wouldn’t get soiled but she was crying and telling me she didn’t want to. I let her wear it (after all it’s washable) until it’s time to change in her PJs.

I love how the laser sword was sturdily made. The kids have been playing with it, bending it, hitting anything on the ground with it; and it surprisingly held up pretty great. And I couldn’t believe how the Snow White Bow was comfortably made. I honestly couldn’t get my daughter to wear headbands because she would remove them as soon as I put it on her ALL THE TIME. But surprisingly, she wore the headband without a fight until I told her it’s time to take it off.

Aren’t they adorable in their little costumes?

The Verdict

I’m so happy I finally found costumes that are very wearable. And I love how adorable, comfortable, practical, affordable, and well-made their costumes are. My kids just wore them without a fuss while playing which really tells me they are very comfortable to wear. And I also love how the quality of the costumes didn’t change after washing.

I would absolutely recommend Little Adventures to anyone who’s looking for dress ups and costumes for their kid.

Your kids look absolutely adorable in those awesome costumes. The best costumes we’ve ever gotten were from Old Navy. They were made of fleece, and the pants could be used again as just regular pants. Plus, you could layer underneath, which is important since it’s so cold here every Halloween. I think my boys would love playing dress-up with these. Thanks for the giveaway too!

My daughter has worn an Elsa dress and a Moana dress. I’m not sure which is cutest because she gets into character for both and I would love to add more princess dresses to her wardrobe! Thanks for opportunity!
