Dressing up and wearing high heels used to be two of my favorite things. I used to own different kinds of shoes to go with whatever outfit I was in the mood for – strappy sandals, wedge espadrilles, sequined pumps, snakeskin peep-toe heels, studded sandals, suede ankle boots, knee-high boots – you name it, I have it. But motherhood came and changed all that (no complains and definitely no regrets).
Since giving birth to my 2 beautiful kids, flats have always been my best friend. Wearing one makes it really comfortable especially if you have to rush every morning from the house to your car and you’re carrying school bag, lunch bag, and your purse (and sometimes a pack of diaper) on your arm, and have a toddler dangling on the other. We live in an apartment complex and we have to go down (some days I need to go back up if I forgot something) 4 flights of stairs and walk to the parking lot to get to the car. Since then, I started doubting my love of heels.
I’ve recently switched jobs and have to wear business casual at work. “I need a new pair of heels” is the first thing that came to my mind when I found out about this. The thought of wearing heels again (because of my lifestyle now) made me feel icky, but the fashion-lover in me wanted to be chic. So I came up with a plan – I will wear flip flops when we leave the house then change to my heels (which I’ll have in a bag in the car) when I arrive at work. Sounds perfect – I’ll get to enjoy the best of both worlds!
Since I can’t really buy a bunch of shoes (because we don’t have enough storage space), I need to be practical. It has to be something that will work with just about anything I own (or soon to own). And the search began… It was a tough one because I had my eyes and heart set on a pair of Valentino Rockstud Pumps (but I couldn’t justify the price). No matter how hard I try, my search would always bring me back to the most beautiful pair of shoes I’ve ever laid my eyes on.
But after weeks of searching online and countless mall trips, I finally found my perfect pair (next to the Valentino pumps, of course)!

I saw it first in Nordstrom but they don’t have my size in the color I want so I checked elsewhere and found it in Zappos. Yay!!! It also comes in black and pale pink but I decided to get the nude one. I figured this color is probably easier to pair with most of my outfits than the other two.
I’ve been using it for over 2 months now and I still couldn’t believe a woman can live off of one pair of shoes until now. It goes along really well with just about anything.
You can wear it with skirt…

This is, by far, the most comfortable pair of heels (3 1/4″) that I’ve ever owned! I walk a lot in it during the day and I’ve never had any blisters from it. It has never pinched my toes. It kinda feels like you’re wearing a pair of flats, except you’re not (that’s how comfortable this pair is for me). I am so happy to have found this!
So if you notice that I am wearing the same pair of shoes in all my fashion posts, that’s why.
