My journey to motherhood started 3 years ago. It was the end of October 2013 when we found out that we’re having a baby. I can still remember how excited we were back then. I’ve always wanted to have 2-3 kids but I wasn’t expecting it to happen this fast. A few months after the birth of our precious daughter, we’ve been blessed with a baby boy. Isn’t it perfect? And that’s when everything started to change.
I used to like to stay up all night and party with friends, even on weekdays; but rarely stay up past 9 pm nowadays, even on weekends. I used to love shopping for myself; just like most women, I love clothes, accessories, handbags, shoes, and makeups; but now, I would always find myself excitingly and unrelentingly shopping for baby/toddler clothes and shoes, toys, and arts and crafts supplies, etc. I used to own around 40+ pairs of shoes but have willingly sold/donated almost everything to make space for my kids’ stuff because we live in a tiny apartment and only had so much space. I used to take a lot of ootd (outfit of the day) shots of myself; I still enjoy taking a lot of ootd shots now, but of my kids. Even with all these and focusing more on their needs (than mine), I feel more complete and happier than I ever was.
Isn’t it amazing how one’s life wholeheartedly changes as you enter motherhood? This, among other things, is what I’d like to share with you. Watch me as I stumble and rise as I get to experience whatever life throws at me. Join me in my daily quest on how to be a better person (yes; person, not just a mom) amidst juggling priorities between sick kids and work demands, unending household chores, and cluttered toys around the house.
What are some of the changes that you had/have gone through in your life and how did you handle them?
