I can't believe it! One Awesome Momma has just turned 2! When I published my very first post 2 years ago, I didn't think I would have done the things I've been doing for the past 2 years. I didn't think I will love blogging this much! From the amazing community, the fun experience, and the awesome campaigns I've worked on, blogging is such a wonderful journey. Join me as I celebrate One Awesome Momma's 2nd...

We found out that my son has a severe peanut allergy on his first birthday. We were given an EpiPen prescription because there's a risk that he'll have anaphylactic shock if he ingests peanut. We immediately banned peanut inside our house as soon as we found out. It took us a while to get used to it because no one else in the family has an allergy (and I hope it stays that way); but...

child having a public temper tantrum, public meltdown I have to say that I've been VERY fortunate to not have to deal with a public temper tantrum for the entire 3 years since becoming a mom, until recently. To be honest, I've been dreading it because I don't know how to react or how I would handle it. My daughter is really sweet and cheerful; and although she would sometimes cry in public, she would ALWAYS listen to whatever I told her. Things would never escalate to a temper tantrum. I guess she learned early on that when Mommy says no, there's nothing she could do to change that. But, of course, my son is different. Although he is a happy and easygoing child,  he is also very strong-willed. When he says no, it would always be a challenge to get him to change his mind. And the same goes for when he wants something. And it was while I was out with him, when I got judged as a mother. He had a public meltdown; a full-blown temper tantrum that lasted for a while.

woman watching TV Hi! How are you all doing? I'm doing pretty fabulous! Other than the fact that my blog just recently turned 1 and we have an ongoing $250 Nordstrom gift card giveaway (don't forget to enter if you haven't yet), I had updated my blog's logo to convey what my site is really all about. I immediately fell in love with it the moment I saw it! What do you think? This update wouldn't have been possible if not for my dear friend, Haydee Gusler. She also did social media banners to match the new logo! How awesome is she? Her graphic designs are impressive and she also does motion graphics! If you need any graphic work done, she's the right woman for the job!!! Check out all her amazing designs here. Anyway, since this is my first post after celebrating my first blog anniversary, I want it to be about something I love. Today, I will be sharing why This Is us is so relatable for everyone; it doesn't matter if you're a mom, dad, wife, husband, daughter, or son; you'll surely get hooked once you watch it.

One Awesome Momma 1st blog anniversary - woman wearing Express chambray shirt, Cest Ca New York tulle skirt, fuchsia Sam Edelman heels, Tiffany & Co sunglasses, holding a number 1 balloon When I started thinking about how much I wanted to start blogging over a year ago, I didn't know what I was going to write about. It wasn't until one afternoon a couple of months later, completely out of the blue, when it suddenly hit me. I would like to share my love of fashion, the struggles I've overcome and how I came out of them as a better person, and the lessons I've learned and have been learning as a mom (and as a person). And on that same day, an absolute spontaneity, my blog was born. It started as a hobby - something I did just because I had the time; I didn't think I was going to enjoy it. But as the days went by, I found myself loving every bit of it; enough that I am actually making time for it; while I've been struggling to make time for myself. How ironic is that? I guess that's how you really know you love what you're doing! Today, I am celebrating One Awesome Momma's 1st year blog anniversary!

grabbed from Freeimages.com I have been guest blogging at BayArt and have recently published an article there. BayArt is all about bringing inspiration and happiness; and creating a value and making a difference. Of course, my usual posts wouldn't be appropriate there;  so I had to turn on a switch that hasn't been turned on for a while. This is the first time I have written something like this for years and I actually enjoyed it. Without further ado, here it is. I hope...
