When I was a child, I had a huge collection of fairy tale books which are all about the dreamy stories of these beautiful princesses – Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, and so on. I loved reading them all the time and believed everything I read in these books. Sometimes, my cousins and I would even re-enact these stories during our playtime. Needless to say, these books had a huge impact on me. I grew up thinking that life is pretty much similar to these fairy tales; but of course it wasn’t long enough until I found out that it’s not. It…

It’s almost Thanksgiving and you’ve probably seen a lot of posts about being thankful for all the blessings they’ve received, their family and friends. While I am also absolutely grateful for all these things and more, this year, I want to focus on the bad things that happened to me. It’s not every day you get to hear someone say “Be thankful for the bad things in your life”. It’s hard to be thankful for them when they hurt you, when they make you live your life in fear, when they make you angry, or when they leave you devastated.

Growing up, Christmas has been my favorite holiday! There’s just nothing better than seeing all the festive decorations, hearing the Christmas songs, having family dinner, opening Christmas presents, getting together and catching up with all my relatives, and of course, dressing up. With November rolling around and the temperature FINALLY dropping, I couldn’t help but get excited with all the Christmas feels! And that got me to start early. Which is why I already finished putting up all my Christmas decors; and I’m also done shopping Christmas outfits…

We found out that my son has a severe peanut allergy on his first birthday. We were given an EpiPen prescription because there’s a risk that he’ll have anaphylactic shock if he ingests peanut. We immediately banned peanut inside our house as soon as we found out. It took us a while to get used to it because no one else in the family has an allergy (and I hope it stays that way); but we certainly tried our best to make sure he doesn’t come in contact with peanut. And I absolutely hoped it won’t ever come to that,…

How is it that we’re already in November? This year is really flying by! October has always been an eventful month for us since I became a mom, because of all the fun fall activities that we always try to do with the kids. So my Instagram posts for the past month is a good combination of the outfits I wore and the activities that we did. I know I said in my previous post that I’ll be…

Happy Tuesday! How are you doing? Did you have a wonderful weekend? Our weekend was relaxed yet still exhausting! What an irony, right? We haven’t had a chill weekend in a while since we always had to do some shoots for the blog, so I thought it would be nice not to do anything blog-related last weekend. But of course, with all the chores we had to do and errands we had to run over the weekend, my husband and I still ended up exhausted. But it was good; my husband and I were able to enjoy a few bottles…

Growing up in the Philippines, you can quickly feel the Christmas spirit as soon as September hits. Everywhere you go feels like Christmas! I remember when I was younger, my mom and I would always fill our house with Christmas decorations as soon as September starts; we would always go out and get ourselves some delicacies that are only being sold during the Christmas season; and we would sing along to Christmas songs while they’re playing. These are the things I still dearly miss since I moved here in the U.S., Filipino Christmas traditions that I no longer get to…

I can’t believe we’re already halfway through October! However, it still doesn’t feel like fall at all! The weather has been really crazy lately! The temperature has dropped for a few days here in VA but has risen again for the past couple of weeks. Last weekend, it was 80’s and yesterday it was 50’s. I am honestly not sure when it will really really start to feel like fall for good (I wish soon). If you’re still not ready to let go of your summer clothes, then you’re going to need these easy hacks to transition your summer wardrobe into fall.…
