How is it that we’re already in November? This year is really flying by! October has always been an eventful month for us since I became a mom, because of all the fun fall activities that we always try to do with the kids. And this year is pretty much the same, considering we’ve yet to go to a fall festival and enjoy the fall foliage. So my Instagram posts for the past month is a good combination of the outfits I wore and the activities that we did. I know I said in my previous post that I’ll be sharing only 5 Instagram posts every month, but there are so many things that I love that happened in October; and I want to share them with you. Here are my favorite posts for October!
Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram so you’re always up to date on what I’m wearing and what we’re doing!

One weekend in October, we met with my son’s previous teacher for dinner. The kids had fun and we had a great time catching up. It was really nice to get to know your kids teacher a little bit more outside of the school setting so I was really thankful for that opportunity.

My daughter is in the phase where she’s addicted to Elsa (from Frozen). If you haven’t seen it yet, she has a video where she’s singing Elsa’s Let It Go here and my son decided to sing with her (make sure to watch ’til the end so you can see how my son tried to outdo her LOL). So I decided to take her to Disney On Ice’s Dare To Dream so she can see Elsa (in real life), and also for me to find out if she can already appreciate these kinds of shows. She had an amazing time and also enjoyed watching Cinderella, Belle, and Moana. That also served as a preliminary to Disney On Ice’s Frozen in February where I plan to take her to as well.

We aren’t allowed to wear jeans to work except on certain days where they ask us to donate a certain amount to a charity. I always try to participate on our denim days because (1) I’d love to share the blessings I’ve been given throughout the year; and of course (2) I’d love to wear jeans to work. We celebrated Customer Service Week at work during the first week of October, and they let everyone wear jeans one day as a way to show gratitude to our Customer Service Representatives.

We’ve upgraded our bed with the new Tomorrow Sleep System; and it was one of the best decisions we’ve made so far! We got their hybrid mattress, mattress protector, memory foam pillows, sheet set, comforter, and sleep tracker. You can check out their entire sleep system here. For the first time in almost 2 months, I’m getting more sleep than I used to have; and I feel more rested than ever! The only drawback is that I don’t ever want to get up in the morning; I only want to stay in bed the whole day. So if you’re looking for a new mattress or looking to upgrade your bed, you have to check them out! You can also read about my full review of the Tomorrow Sleep System here.

Since I took my daughter out on a date to see Disney On Ice’s Dare To Dream, I decided to take my son out on a date as well the weekend after. He told me he wanted to see some animals so I took him to Roer’s Zoofari. He had a blast and we got to ride a camel, rode the safari bus and fed llama, deer, and pig. We also got to see other animals like zebra, bison, goats, chicken, giraffe, and cheetah.

I’m well aware that this is not my most photogenic moment (LOL) but I just had to share it on Instagram because both of them were looking at the camera after trying to take our picture for what seemed like eternity. We went apple picking earlier in October and the kids had so much fun! We went to Hartland Orchard and loved this place a lot! We’ll most likely be back next year! They have different sections for different kinds of apples. They also have pumpkins, cherries, and peaches. And, they also have sunflowers! We had to get off the car and had our picture taken with these gorgeous sunflowers!
on mommy: evil queen costume || on daddy: mask // brick wall – DIY || on her: snow white dress // bow – DIY || on him: dwarf costume
I used to ignore Halloween before having kids. But now, I find myself planning what our costume is going to be way earlier than most people probably do. As I was browsing for Halloween costume ideas on Pinterest, I saw a really cute sibling costume idea where the siblings were wearing a coordinating Snow White & Dwarf costumes. So I decided our theme for this year is going to be Snow White. Of course, I had to be the evil queen. My husband was supposed to be Grumpy but he was trying to avoid wearing costumes; but I was so glad I was able to convince him to be the Magic Mirror on the wall. I told him all he had to do is wear an all-black outfit and I’ll take care of the rest. So last weekend, I did his costume. What did you think of my DIY Magic Mirror on the wall?
