10 Jul Instagram Roundup – May & June
Okay.. I know this post is supposed to be done on the first week of July but what can I say? The whole “time flies” kicked me in the b*tt literally. Between all the birthday party preparations for my daughter, my full time work, and some stuff I’m planning for the blog, I didn’t realize it’s time to do my Instagram Roundup post. And since I took a couple of weeks off in May, I decided to do May & June together. Let’s not keep you waiting some more – here are my favorite Instagram moments in May & June.
Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram so you’re always up-to-date on what I’m wearing and what I’m doing!
Note: I may receive commissions from clicks or purchases made through links in this post at no additional cost to you. While I wish these commissions were enough to let me stay at home with my kids, they’re really for paying the fees to keep this site up and running. Thank you for your continued support!

This is my current favorite shirt for work (scroll down some more to see how I wore it outside of work). Because why not, it’s fun, it’s colorful, it’s floral, and the material is perfect for Summer.
My obsession with peplum tops started over 5 years ago when I discovered how flattering and forgiving they are (with some things you may want to hide). I think I own more than 5 peplum tops and a few peplum dresses. I love how flattering this top is and all its feminine details.
You’ve probably already seen me a lot in this faux leather pleated skirt. I’ve recently wore this with my favorite sleeveless blazer. I seriously love wearing this skirt because it goes with just about anything.
Isn’t this butterfly top fun? I love how colorful it is and the fabric is absolutely perfect for this 90’s weather.

I’ve never been a mules person. But when I saw these beauties, I knew I had to get them. Plus, they were only under $30!
My kids, especially my son, love animals. So whenever we get a chance, my husband and I would take them to a nearby farm or to the zoo on weekends. This picture was taken one weekend when we decided to take advantage of the nice weather here in VA and took them to a nearby zoo.
I want to show my Instagram followers what really goes on behind our photo shoots; so I decided to share these pictures during one of or photo shoots. My photo shoot with my 2 kids would somehow always look like this especially before my Dad arrived. They would always be in the frame of the camera, doing all sorts of stuff. My daughter would sometimes copy the poses I’ve been doing. And it’s so funny when she does that!
If you’re following my blog for a while, you’ve probably seen these floral pants before. I’ve had them for the past (maybe) 4 years; but they’re still one of my favorite pairs. I still love how stretchy the material is and how lightweight it is for Summer.
You’ve probably noticed how I’m drawn towards gingham prints since last year. These gingham slides are the cutest; and they’re comfortable too! I can walk around in them for hours without my feet hurting. They’re also available in black and only under $30!
These were taken on Father’s Day. My husband was away for the Father’s Day weekend to celebrate his friend’s upcoming wedding. He got back on Sunday, Father’s Day, and we picked him up at the airport. And then we went to a restaurant from where we used to live where we celebrated how awesome he and my Dad are.
I got myself this pink gingham bag for Mother’s Day! It was too small for what I like. Find out how I thought my HUGE wallet is going to fit inside the bag here. I thought A LOT about returning it; but it was just too cute so I ended up keeping it.
You’re probably aware of my love affair with embroidery. I have embroidered jackets (denim and leather), embroidered jeans, embroidered dress, and embroidered top. It’s just a matter of time until I find a pair of embroidered shoes. And I did!!! These espadrille sneakers are very comfortable! I’ve worn them chasing after my kids in a HUGE playground for hours and my didn’t even hurt. They’re currently on sale for under $40!
