My daughter has been enjoying finger and hand painting (my son doesn’t appreciate it yet); sure it’s messy but it gives her the chance to explore. When she was younger though, she hated having dirty hands and would always cry at school (not at home) whenever they’d have a painting activity. But now that she’s older, she’s starting to like it.
A couple of weekends ago, the kids and I did our version of a very cute Christmas craft that I saw online but it turned out to be a huge Pinterest fail.
How it turned out
I guess I should have gotten a bigger paper or positioned the hand prints differently. I guess we’ll just try again next year; maybe it’ll turn out better. I sure hope so!
What you’ll need
What to do
- Apply the green paint on your kid’s hand using the paint brush or you can simply dip it.
- Place your kid’s hand on the paper and put a little bit of pressure on all parts so the paint transfers evenly. Repeat while making sure you’re forming a circle with the hand prints. Let dry.
- Once dried, apply the red paint on your kid’s foot using the paint brush or you can simply dip it.
- Place your kid’s foot on the paper positioning it perfectly at the bottom of the wreath angled at 45 degrees. Do it again to form the 2 sides of a triangle.
What did you think of this? What is your favorite Christmas craft with your kids? Let me know in the comments. You know I always love to hear from you.
