My Love, With all the hustle and bustle of our crazy life, I've only been vocal when something was bothering me. Although I try my best to teach the kids to be grateful, I wasn't practicing it. I haven't been very expressive on what I appreciate about you. So as we celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary, allow me to tell you what I think and how I really feel. 8 years...

I can't believe that the first quarter of 2018 is done just like that! The first 3 months of 2018 have been very eventful for me and my family. The kids pretty much spent most of the weekends of January and February attending their swim class; I made my daughter's DIY wonder woman costume; we went to see Jurassic Quest when they were in town; my daughter has had to deal with mean friends;  my...

Are you celebrating your wedding anniversary soon but on a tight budget? That's totally understandable! After becoming a mom and having to pay daycare for 2 kids, I've always asked myself how to celebrate a wedding anniversary on a tight budget. Between the never-ending bills and expensive daycare, not to mention the lots of stuff that your kids need, you won't always have a lot of extra cash lying around to be spent on a...

It's almost Thanksgiving and you've probably seen a lot of posts about being thankful for all the blessings they've received, their family and friends. While I am also absolutely grateful for all these things and more, this year, I want to focus on the bad things that happened to me. It's not every day you get to hear someone say "Be thankful for the bad things in your life". It's hard to be thankful for...

woman having a relaxing flower bath, spoil yourself mom Moms, let's be honest... When was the last time you spoiled yourself? How many times did you feel like all you do is care for your family that oftentimes you take yourself for granted? I always do! Most of the time, I feel like I spend the entire day making sure my family's needs are met - their meals and snacks are served on time, their clothes are washed and put away, the kids have enough activities throughout the day to keep them entertained, and so much more - that I never got the chance to do the things I want to do. Before having kids, I used to have time to do the things I love to do like working out every single day, giving myself a manicure every single week, and traveling to places I've always wanted to visit.

woman watching TV Hi! How are you all doing? I'm doing pretty fabulous! Other than the fact that my blog just recently turned 1 and we have an ongoing $250 Nordstrom gift card giveaway (don't forget to enter if you haven't yet), I had updated my blog's logo to convey what my site is really all about. I immediately fell in love with it the moment I saw it! What do you think? This update wouldn't have been possible if not for my dear friend, Haydee Gusler. She also did social media banners to match the new logo! How awesome is she? Her graphic designs are impressive and she also does motion graphics! If you need any graphic work done, she's the right woman for the job!!! Check out all her amazing designs here. Anyway, since this is my first post after celebrating my first blog anniversary, I want it to be about something I love. Today, I will be sharing why This Is us is so relatable for everyone; it doesn't matter if you're a mom, dad, wife, husband, daughter, or son; you'll surely get hooked once you watch it.

woman with a guitar playing a song I love music and I can definitely say that music has been a huge part of my life. I remember back when I was younger, I would turn to music either when I was happy or sad; especially when I was heartbroken. There's something about hearing someone sing some words accompanied by a melody that makes it so heartfelt and extremely relatable. I absolutely remember I used to cry while listening to a song when I was trying to mend a broken heart; while I used to feel really in love and happy when I was listening to cheery songs. And for some people, music has become their way of expressing how they feel which is why people write songs.

Couples celebrating their wedding anniversary usually do something noteworthy for their special day. Some couples go on a date and do something they both love doing; a few try to re-create that memorable night when they exchanged their vows; while others go on a romantic trip for a few days or even weeks. However, celebrating wedding anniversaries with kids, especially younger ones, can be challenging. Dressing up and getting dolled up to go on a date with your spouse if you haven't had enough sleep for a few nights in a row can be such a chore; I'm sure you'd rather just stay at home and spend it getting the sleep you've longed for in a while. And how on earth could you go on a romantic trip with a baby or toddler with you?
