Spring Essentials For Kids

I can’t believe that we are already heading towards the end of January which means winter will soon be over; and spring is just around the corner. Are you excited as much as I am? Although we do love it when snow falls because that allows us to stay outside for a bit with the kids and have some fun in the snow (we still haven’t gotten a ton of snow though), it just won’t be possible for us to spend a lot of time outside if the weather is freezing. The kids love the outdoors which makes the idea of spring…

4 Ways To Wear Chambray Shirt Part 1 – Denim On Denim

Chambray shirts are one of the most versatile piece of clothing you’ll ever own. It works with almost anything and you’ll get to use it all year long because they can be worn in any season, and that’s what I love about it; it’s so practical to own one. Which is why I am not surprised to see almost everyone rocking one. There are just so many ways you can style your chambray shirt; you can wear it over a maxi dress or wear it over a swimsuit, and the list goes on. That said, I’ve decided to do a multi-part fashion…

Check and Romper

My son turned 1 recently and if you don’t know it yet, I wrote him an apology letter; you can read the letter here. Of course, we had a family dinner to celebrate his birthday. Other than spending time with my family, dressing up the kids is my next favorite thing during special occasions. I chose a checked shirt paired with a yellow twill shorts for my son; each less than $15. I can’t believe how time flies; it feels like it was just yesterday when he was born; but look at him now, he’s all grown up. While my daughter wore a romper…

Teal Pettiskirt

We had dinner with my mother-in-law one weekend so I had my daughter wear the tutu skirt given by her lola (grandmother). I paired it with a simple white tee with “Perfect Princess” written on it and put her hair up in a pigtail. There’s something about pigtails, I feel like she looks so much cuter wearing one; so whenever I want her to look extra cute, I put her hair up in pigtails. Her lola (grandmother) gave her (and us too) 3 pairs of sneakers. She changed into her current favorite pair, the Disney Princesses that lights up whenever she walks…

Stripes and Denim

This morning, we decided to bring the kids to the park; and I thought it was a good time to wear our sneakers (given by my mother-in-law). My daughter and I both have pink ones; while my husband and son both have black ones. So why not wear matching outfits to go with our sneakers, right? Yes; I am that mom. I take advantage of every opportunity that I have to wear matching outfits with my kids and I love doing that. I’ll probably keep doing it until my kids let me. Outfit Details: On me: Top: Express (similar) | Shorts: No name brand…

Cropped Top

I’ve always wanted to rock cropped tops but I wasn’t one of the lucky ones who have been blessed with well-toned abs (I know! I know! I have to work really hard if I am determined to have one but, you know, food always gets in the way). So when I saw a set of cropped top and skirt for kids in Peppermint (store from Manila), I knew I had to buy it for my daughter. Outfit details Cropped top: Peppermint (similar) | Overalls: H&M  (similar) | Straw hat: The Children’s Place  (similar) | Socks: Gymboree  (similar) | Hair clips: Gymboree  (similar) | Shoes:…

Ero Mama ("Sombrero Sama" in Tagalog or Bring Hat)

It was one of those we’re-running-late days because I didn’t wake up early enough. And if you’re a working mom like me, you’d know that waking up an hour before you’re supposed to leave doesn’t work anymore. In between taking a shower and getting ready for work, preparing healthy breakfast, changing diapers and clothes (and sometimes shortly after you’ve changed their clothes, they’d manage to get them dirty again), brushing those tiny teeth, fixing your daughter’s hair, and preparing supplies for school (or daycare, we just like to call it school), 2 hours is hardly enough. And to think that I…
