Happy Tuesday! How are you doing? Did you have a wonderful weekend? Our weekend was relaxed yet still exhausting! What an irony, right? We haven’t had a chill weekend in a while since we always had to do some shoots for the blog, so I thought it would be nice not to do anything blog-related last weekend. But of course, with all the chores we had to do and errands we had to run over the weekend, my husband and I still ended up exhausted. But it was good; my husband and I were able to enjoy a few bottles of beer on Friday night! And we all went to bed at 7 PM on Sunday! Today, I’d like to share an outfit I wore when we went apple picking 2 weekends ago, a sleeveless vest paired with distressed jeans.

OUTFIT DETAILS: long sleeve top, similar long sleeve top here and here // sleeveless vest // similar distressed jeans here and here // laceup boots // similar bag in different color here, yellow tote here // necklace // newsboy cap // similar sunnies here and here (both under $15)
I got this sleeveless vest a couple of months ago during one of Express’ sale events. It provided the perfect layering I needed when we went Apple Picking. We went to Hartland Orchard for our apple picking this year. If you’re in Virginia, you have to check them out! They have different sections for different kinds of apples. They have sunflowers, pumpkins, cherries, and peaches as well. They even have a corn maze. How amazing is that? The kids had so much fun picking apple by themselves and they excitedly ate one while we were there. We didn’t get a lot because I would only be using the apples for their snack and making applesauce for them; but seriously the less than half a bushel we got was already too much for us. We paid $10 for less than half a bushel of apples (they usually charge $15 for half a bushel).
This sleeveless vest can be worn 2 ways (3 ways even) – as a sleeveless vest just like how I wore it here (you can wear it 2 ways as a vest), and as a scarf. I love how thick the material is, as compared to the lighter sleeveless vest I got from Express last year, which means that it’s going to keep me warm longer than the other one did. It also comes in light pink. And I love how it added a character to my otherwise boring outfit.
I’m so obsessed with distressed jeans right now but I’m trying not to buy all of the pretty ones I see, like these and these, because we’re not allowed to wear jeans, especially distressed ones at work. These distressed jeans are one of my favorites (but I think I LOVE all of the distressed jeans I own)! They’re such a classic with the right amount of rips. Plus, they fit really well!
