Can you believe it’s almost back-to-school time? Which means fall is just around the corner. In fact, it has been getting colder in the mornings here in Virginia; which makes me a bit excited because fall is my favorite season. I’m sure you’re also starting to think about updating your closet in preparation for the colder months. These fall must-haves will absolutely help you on which staple items to get when you shop! I assure you, you’d get to use them for years to come. You probably know by now that I’m all about practicality and making sure you’d get to wear your clothes A LOT! If you don’t, I actually saved a lot by not getting maternity clothes during my 2 pregnancies; instead, I got a bunch of stuff that I still get to wear 3 years later. Today, I want to talk about how to extend your summer clothes by transitioning different clothing pieces into fall.

How To Transition Your Summer Clothes Into Fall
In this post, I will be sharing 5 easy hacks to transition your Summer clothes into Fall. The key is to mix Fall clothing pieces with Summer pieces. Check out the easy ways you can still wear your Summer clothes in Fall.
Layer Up With A Fur Vest
I honestly think every stylish woman should own a fur vest in their closet. Fur vests are so timeless yet so chic and they go with just about anything; not to mention they add elegance to any look. To transition your Summer shirts and dresses during the colder months, wear a fur vest over them.
Wear Tights Underneath Your Shorts
You don’t have to store your shorts yet when the temperature drops. Other than the fact that tights can be worn underneath skirts and dresses during the colder months, wearing them underneath your shorts so you can still wear those shorts in fall (and winter if you can pull it off) is a great way to transition your Summer shorts into Fall. Opaque and sheer tights will give you that classy look. But if you’re looking for a more fun look, opt for patterned or colored tights instead.
Wear Leather Jacket Over Your Dresses
There are several ways to transition your Summer dresses into Fall. You can wear a light long-sleeved top, shirt, or a sheer top underneath; or wear a cardigan over it. But my favorite is wearing a leather jacket over a dress because it gives the feminine look a good contrast for an edgier overall look.
Pair Your Denim Skirt With Over The Knee Boots
Fall isn’t all about knitted, leather, and plaid skirts. You can absolutely wear your denim skirts during the colder season too which is a great way to transition your Summer skirts into Fall. Just pair it with your sweater and over the knee boots or tall boots and you’re good to go.
Throw On A Wrap Or Poncho Over Tees
Short-sleeved tees can still be worn in fall by throwing on a wrap or poncho over it; or a light long-sleeved top for colder days. Then pair it with your favorite leggings or skinny jeans. This look isn’t only perfectly easy to recreate, it’s absolutely comfortable and stylish too!
