Shoe Carnival provided me with product and compensation. The opinions I have shared about the products are my own.
For most people, this is the most wonderful time of the year. But for us moms, it’s the most stressful, not to mention, the most expensive time of the year. It’s that time when you’ve gotten so occupied with all the holiday activities and festivities that you wanted to do with your family. And also that time when you’ve stressed yourself out A LOT over what to give everyone in your holiday list; and how you’re going to fit everything in your budget. Unfortunately, with all these planning and stressing out, you tend to forget (or maybe didn’t even think about) to get something for the most important person in your life—yourself. Yes, you read that right! You should absolutely get something for yourself this holiday season simply because you truly deserve it! I know what you’re thinking… How can you possibly squeeze that in your budget on top of the things that you are already supposed to get for everyone on your list? Well, you’re in for a treat! I’ve partnered with Shoe Carnival to share with you why you should absolutely include yourself in your holiday list without going over budget.
My Holiday List
My holiday list includes my family, my friends, my colleagues, my kids’ teachers, and of course, myself. While I love giving personalized gifts to my friends, my colleagues, and my kids’ teachers, I always give my family something fun and practical every year. As for myself, I always get something I’ve always wanted for a while or something fun but still practical just like what I did this year.
My kids, just like me, are into shoes. Seriously, whenever they’re not in their playroom, they go over to my shoes and play with them. They wear whichever pair catches their eyes and walk around the house giggling. My husband, on the other hand, rarely shops. The last time he got a new pair of shoes for himself was 6 years ago. So when I was thinking of a practical gift to give them, it only makes sense that I get them a new pair of shoes. And that’s where Shoe Carnival saved the day!
My Shopping Experience At Shoe Carnival
Shoe Carnival is one of the nation’s largest family footwear retailer which offers a broad assortment of moderately priced dress, casual and athletic footwear for men, women, and children with emphasis on national and regional name brands.
We don’t have a Shoe Carnival store near us, which is why I am so grateful for online shopping. It allows me to shop at stores I don’t normally have access to like Shoe Carnival. My shopping experience at Shoe Carnival has been smooth. I love how they have included lots of product photos taken at different angles which really helped me a lot since I am unable to see the products in person. Allowing customers who have previously purchased their products in the past to post a review along with pictures is also one feature I truly love about their site. I am a very visual person, and although the feedback I usually see about their products is helpful, I need to see the products being worn by people first so I can imagine how they would look like on me or any of my family members. I really like how the search functionality is so intuitive where it shows up suggestions with product photo as I type which saved me a lot of time. The checkout process was seamless and fast too.
How Shoe Carnival Helped Me Check Off My Holiday List
I love how Shoe Carnival offers footwear for the entire family. They have different styles that would surely fit everyone’s preference and budget. And that is the main reason why I did my holiday shopping at Shoe Carnival; because I know I will not “go home empty-handed” (in my case, go offline without buying anything). With their huge selection of affordable footwear for the entire family, I know I will surely find something I love. And true enough, I was able to buy new pairs of shoes for the entire family; and also got myself something extra.
My favorite part of my holiday shopping was, of course, unboxing the products I ordered from Shoe Carnival. I actually shared how fun unboxing our shoes was through InstaStories a couple of weeks ago. We, especially the kids, were so excited to open the package when it arrived. We tried our shoes on right away. We loved everything I had ordered. The shoes looked exactly like the ones on the website, and they fit perfectly. They are absolutely comfortable too.
My husband hasn’t bought a pair of dress shoes for the past 6 years so when I saw these Nunn Bush Chester Cap Toe Oxford Dress Shoes, I knew it’s going to be a perfect gift for him. And true enough, he loved them! Because who wouldn’t? It’s such a timeless pair of dress shoes for men. And they’re absolutely perfect for what he usually wears at work.
When I saw these Timberland 6″ Classic Boots, I knew I had to get them for my son! I love how stylish this pair is and how it reflects his charming personality in an edgy kind of way. They’re perfect for the cold weather ahead; and yet, he can still use them with shorts when it gets warmer. Talk about a practical purchase, right?
I used to have these black tall stiletto boots with 5-inch heels that I wore ALL THE TIME before having kids! Trying to keep your balance by yourself in a pair of 5-inch heels is already hard enough, so imagine adding a baby or a toddler to that equation. As you’ve probably anticipated, I had to donate them shortly after giving birth to my daughter. When I saw these Frye & Co. Tania Riding Boots, I was quickly reminded of my favorite black boots, except they’re flats which is AMAZING! I love how simple yet slick these boots are. They’re such a classic pair and I can wear them with just about anything. And because they’re flats, you’ll most likely find me wearing these every single day.
These Makalu Iceland Boots are so adorable, and the girly details are perfect for my daughter! And I love how this pair will surely keep her toes warm when it starts to get freezing outside. She absolutely adores her new boots and ALWAYS asks me to let her wear them to school.
Including Myself In My Holiday List
During special occasions like my birthday or Christmas, I always make sure to get myself something. I do it to reward myself with all my hard work since I work full-time, I run a blog, and on top of that, I also take care of my family. Granted, I don’t really do everything at home because I’ve been blessed with a husband who loves to help out all the time but juggling my family, my career, and my business is not an easy task.
Shoe Carnival offers great deals all year round especially during the holiday season which makes it easier on my wallet to get gifts for everyone in my list, and an extra one (actually two) for myself too. With the affordable prices they offer, Shoe Carnival made it possible for me to reward myself with these Cliffs Pembroke Lace-Up Boots and Rampage Plaid Blanket Wrap without going over budget I set for myself. I love how they go perfectly together. Seriously, I’ve been planning what to wear them with in the coming days. Aren’t they fun?
I’ve been into lace-up boots recently. These fun boots can be worn in 2 ways—leather folded down and unfolded. What attracted me to them is the fun and trendy sweater cuff that can be revealed when you fold the leather. Plus, I really love the rustic vibe these boots exude. I know I will be wearing these a lot on days when I don’t want to dress up but still want to look stylish.
If you don’t know it yet, I’ve been obsessed with anything plaid since I was in college. This scarf has my name written all over it. Since I didn’t have to spend a lot for the lace-up boots, I decided to get this blanket scarf as well. And I couldn’t be any happier that I did. It’s so cozy and the color is perfect for the colder months. I know I’m going to be wearing this a lot.
If you haven’t done so, I encourage you to get yourself something nice this holiday season. With all the hard work you’ve been doing, no one deserves a really nice gift for the holidays better than yourself. So why not head over to your nearest Shoe Carnival or shop online, just like what I usually do, and reward yourself with something you’ve been wanting to get yourself for a while.
