23 Jan Spring Essentials For Kids
I can’t believe that we are already heading towards the end of January which means winter will soon be over; and spring is just around the corner. Are you excited as much as I am? Although we do love it when snow falls because that allows us to stay outside for a bit with the kids and have some fun in the snow (we still haven’t gotten a ton of snow though), it just won’t be possible for us to spend a lot of time outside if the weather is freezing. The kids love the outdoors which makes the idea of spring starting soon exciting for us.
I don’t know about you but I love to be prepared and make sure my kids have everything they need whenever the season is about to change, months in advance. So today, I am bringing you some really cute spring essentials from Diapers.com to help you prepare for the nice weather ahead. Just click the links below the pictures to shop these items.
Don’t you just love how adorable your little ones look in their cute little outfits? And that is mainly why I LOVE to get my kids some outfits every chance I get, no matter what season or occasion it is. I just find it so much fun to dress them up. (I think most moms do!)
Aren’t these clothes the cutest? My son actually has the yellow shorts which he wore on his first birthday; and the red & blue plaid shirt on the right which has been one of my favorite dress shirts of his. He has worn that a lot!
The floral peplum top is what I plan to get my daughter. I love how I can pair it with different pieces of clothing to create different looks. I can already see her wearing this cute top with a pair of white leggings, a pink skirt, or green shorts.
Since spring is all about watching the plants, flowers, and trees bloom, I think it is a great time to introduce some garden toys to your kids. They will surely have fun playing with these toys while also learning about nature in the process.
Younger kids will definitely enjoy playing with the garden puzzles which let them develop the skills necessary for them to solve it. And the older ones will absolutely love these toys like the vegetable garden or the garden table which allow them to simulate what it’s like to work in a real-life garden.
My kids have just turned 1 and 2 last year so this is the first spring that they’ll get to really enjoy. I know that for a fact because I am going to let them play in the rain. I remember loving it when I was a kid; and to be honest, I’d still love to do that as an adult. And getting each of them a raincoat is a great way to ensure that they won’t be too cold when they do.
Don’t you find these raincoats adorable? I like that there is an owl print for both boys and girls so I can get a matching raincoat for my kids. While I am always drawn to pink for my daughter and red or blue for my son, I think the bee print in yellow is the most practical option; especially if you’re planning to have more kids in the future. It is very gender-neutral and can definitely be reused by younger siblings.
Allowing my kids to play in the rain means that they should have the proper shoes to make sure that their tiny feet will be protected from getting wet and cold. I know my daughter won’t like it if I let her play in a puddle of water wearing just a pair of sneakers. She gets uncomfortable when the clothes she’s wearing is wet or soiled; or if one part of her body is dirty. She’d run to me and tell me she needs to get changed or she needs wipes. So I’m sure she’d appreciate wearing rain boots while doing all these fun things!
I like how these rain boots come in a variety of color and different patterns that kids (and even moms) will go crazy for. There is absolutely something for everyone; there are plain ones like the Hunter boots and printed ones like the pirate ones. Aren’t they fun to wear?
And for those days when it would start raining while we’re playing outside but don’t want to play in it, an umbrella will definitely come in handy until we get inside the house. I also like having umbrellas inside the car at all times so we’re prepared when it rains unexpectedly. To be honest, I still use an umbrella over my kids’ head even if they’re already wearing a hat or their jacket’s hood whenever it’s raining. Yeah, I am that mom! But hey, I just want to protect my kids as much as I could.
When I was younger though, I hated carrying an umbrella with me; I felt embarrassed to use one. But I probably won’t be if I had one of these pretty umbrellas! Don’t you think so?
Don’t you find all these spring gears adorable? And don’t you love the fact that you can get all of these in one store? I know I do!
